A few simple things before your first YasYoga class will help me understand you, your body and how best to support your practice.
Before you come to a class with me, I need to know a little about your physical and medical history.
Everybody moves differently. Understanding any injuries, medical conditions or areas of concern allows me to help you practise safely and adapt movements where appropriate.
Please complete the Pre-Exercise Health Check before attending your first class and let me know if your health or medical circumstances change in the future.
You don't need to arrive knowing how to do yoga. Classes are about working with your own body and enjoying the benefits of movement, breathing and awareness.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Yoga is practised without shoes and bare feet are preferred for standing poses, although you are welcome to wear socks if you prefer.
Please tell me about any existing injuries, pain, previous surgery or health conditions. Knowing what is happening in your body helps me offer appropriate alternatives and support.
Listen to your body throughout your class. You can rest, modify a movement or stop whenever you need to. Yoga is a personal practice rather than a competition.
Your health check gives me important information about your current health, medication, previous surgery and any physical conditions that could affect your practice.
If anything changes after you complete the form, please let me know before your next class. This helps me continue to support you safely and appropriately.
